Acoustic Requirements, Treatments and Soundproofing
Because acoustics play such a crucial role in a home theater or media room, getting them right is a must. The room you're creating your home theater in probably wasn't designed to be a home theater or media room. That means the acoustics and soundproofing will likely need to be upgraded.
So when possible, it's best to develop your home theater or media room plan from the outside of the room inward. The room's size, shape, original construction materials and a myriad of other factors will determine exactly what you'll need for soundproofing and acoustic materials, where best to locate equipment and speakers, the positioning of seating and even the best types of decorative materials to use.
As the design is developed, the various acoustic and sound-proofing products that will provide optimum sound quality and effect are taken into consideration. Absorption panels, flooring materials, wall treatments, diffuser panels and bass trapping are just a few of the materials we can use in an existing room to give you tremendous sound.
Construction Tips
If you're a do-it-yourselfer, we'll give you invaluable insight into the various phases of construction: walls and ceilings, sound proofing, risers, equipment installation and wiring whatever your home theater or media room requires. The sound is a big part to create the movie magic; without the proper speaker in the correct location is like listening to a live band on stage behind a glass all, you can see action but can't hear a thing, the question... what are you missing?
